The Staff of DCHMI

Ronald Fogel, MD is a board certified gastroenterologist with extensive experience in all areas of gastrointestinal disease and prevention. Dr. Fogel is a graduate of McGill University and completed residencies at Sir Mortimer B. Davis-Jewish General Hospital and the University of California. He completed a research fellowship in gastroenterology at Tufts University.

Dr. Fogel is dedicated to the prevention and aggressive treatment of gastrointestinal disease. His special areas of interest include the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome as well as screening and prevention/education for colon cancer. He is committed to providing the highest quality medical care with compassion and respect for patients and their families. In addition to his work with a wide variety of patients, Dr. Fogel is also actively involved in clinical research.

Before starting the Digestive Health Center of Michigan, Dr. Fogel served for 13 years as the head of gastroenterology services at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Wolgamott has joined our practice. She is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of healthcare experience. She graduated with her doctorate from the University of Michigan at the top of her class with a focus on Primary Care. Her experience includes Emergency, ICU, Pediatrics, Wound Care, Women’s Health and Geriatrics. She is a lecturing professor for the University of Michigan and an author and expert in Transcultural Healthcare.

Dr. Wolgamott lives in the area with her husband and two children and enjoys biking, reading historical fiction, cooking, camping and is an accomplished musician.

Dr. Wolgamott will be seeing patients at both the Chesterfield office and Henry Ford Hospital in Macomb to allow us to expand our availability for your gastroenterology needs.
